Melusi Dlamini

Melusi Dlamini is a Director at DLA Piper in Johannesburg, specialising in infrastructure law and project development. He advises sponsors, lenders, and institutional investors on large‑scale infrastructure and renewable energy projects across Europe, South‑East Asia, Africa, the US, and the Middle East, with particular expertise in offshore wind and sustainable energy facilities.

His experience includes advising a commercial aviation leasing company on the procurement, construction, and financing of a sustainable aviation fuel facility in the United Kingdom, a copper mining company on the procurement and development of solar PV and BESS developments to power its mining operations in the DRC, and a leading oil company on the consolidation of its global offshore wind assets. He also has extensive experience in construction and procurement contracts, project financing, and operational and maintenance arrangements. He is dual‑qualified as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa (2015) and a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales (2020).

He holds an LL.M. and LL.B. from the University of KwaZulu‑Natal. He is recognised as a Next Generation Partner (Renewables) by The Legal 500.
