Mongezi Dladla

Mongezi Dladla is a Partner in the Projects, Energy and Infrastructure Practice at Bowmans in Johannesburg, specialising in infrastructure law, project finance, and energy projects. He has expertise in large‑scale utility and commercial power purchase agreements, project finance, and public‑private partnerships.

Mongezi has advised on significant renewable energy and infrastructure projects, including Envusa Energy on the portfolio financing of two wind and one solar project for Anglo American and EDF Renewables; Rand Merchant Bank on the financing of three solar projects providing captive power to Harmony Gold and two wind and one solar facility supplying electricity to Sibanye‑Stillwater; Enel Green Power on captive power projects for Sasol; and SOLA Group on the EPC and O&M of a 10MW wheeling project for Amazon Web Services. He has also advised on water infrastructure projects, including the development of a water treatment plant and the Olifants Management Model Programme, and on the development of a renewable energy solution for Khoemacau Copper Mining in Botswana.

Mongezi holds an LL.B from the University of South Africa and a BCom from the University of the Witwatersrand.

He has been ranked as a Rising Star by IFLR1000's Financial and Corporate Guide for his work in South Africa in 2025.
