Nikhil Bhogal

Nikhil Bhogal is an Executive in the Corporate Commercial practice at ENS, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets, private equity, and corporate reorganisations. He provides assistance to both private and public clients across a range of matters, as well as to local and offshore clients interested in investing in the African market.

Nikhil's expertise encompasses the negotiation, structuring, and advising of a diverse array of commercial transactions, including asset and share acquisitions and disposals, share subscriptions, shareholder relations, joint ventures, corporate reorganisations, unbundling, and employee share incentive schemes. He has supported numerous clients in both public and private capital raises and has periodically advised on JSE Listing requirements. He was shortlisted as a finalist for the African Legal Awards in the category of Most Promising Newcomer in 2019 and is a co‑author of the South African chapter in the Oxford University Press publication From Baksheesh to Bribery.

Nikhil holds an LL.B from the University of Kwa‑Zulu Natal, has completed Advanced Company Law I at the University of the Witwatersrand, and holds an Advanced Short Course in Business Rescue from the University of South Africa. He is admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
