Nada Lourens

Nada Lourens is a Director at DLA Piper in Johannesburg, specialising in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate restructurings, corporate governance, broad‑based black economic empowerment (B‑BBEE) transactions, and general corporate and commercial law. She also advises on financial regulatory and consumer protection matters.

She has advised Cell C Holdings on company law and corporate governance aspects of its listing on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, which was accompanied by a secondary offer of ordinary shares by way of a private placement. She also advises on the structuring and establishment of share incentive schemes and provides strategic legal counsel on a broad range of corporate and commercial transactions across multiple sectors.

Nada holds an LL.B (cum laude) from North‑West University (2004), a Higher Diploma in Tax Law from the University of Johannesburg (2007), and completed a Short Course on the Law of Banking and Financial Markets at the University of the Witwatersrand (2025). She was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2006.
