Stephen Lewis

Stephen Lewis is an Executive Consultant at ENS in the Corporate Commercial practice. His primary practice area is Mergers and Acquisitions.

He specialises in capital markets, commercial contracts, company law, and company sales and purchases. He also specialises in corporate finance, JSE/SRP/regulatory matters, management buyouts, private equity, takeovers, trusts, estates and estate planning, insider trading, mergers and acquisitions, as well as wills.

His related practice areas include capital markets law, corporate law, and estate planning and wills. He is recognised as a leading or recommended lawyer by IFLR1000 Financial and Corporate Guide for Capital Markets: Equity, M&A and Private Equity (2015–2025, South Africa), and by Best Lawyers for Corporate (2016–2023, South Africa). He was also recognised in the Corporate Livewire 2015 Legal Awards as Most Outstanding M&A Lawyer (South Africa) and in Who's Who Legal 2019 as an M&A Global Leader (South Africa).

He holds a BCom from the University of the Witwatersrand and an LLB (Cum Laude) from the University of the Witwatersrand. He is a member of the International Academy of Estate and Trust Law and is admitted as an attorney of the High Courts of South Africa and Eswatini.
