Peter Bradshaw

Peter Bradshaw is a Director and Head of Corporate at DLA Piper in Johannesburg, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets, and corporate finance. He advises local and multi-national clients on public and private M&A transactions, including private equity acquisitions and disposals, across a range of sectors including financial services, media, hospitality, retail, food and beverages, and property.

Peter has advised Cell C Limited and Cell C Holdings Limited on a pre-listing restructuring aimed at optimising the company's capital structure in preparation for its listing on the main board of the JSE, and has advised Premier Group on its proposed acquisition of all shares in RFG, a JSE-listed food producer, in exchange for new shares in Premier. His practice also covers capital markets, securities regulation, and general commercial law, with significant experience in cross-border transactions across Africa.

Peter holds a BA (1999) and LL.B (2001) from Rhodes University, and an LL.M in Tax (cum laude) from the University of the Witwatersrand (2004). He was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2004.

He is ranked in Band 2 for Corporate/M&A by Chambers Global (since 2022) and recommended for Commercial, Corporate and M&A by The Legal 500 (2022–2026).
