Mlungisi Mahlangu

Mlungisi Mahlangu is a Partner at Webber Wentzel in Johannesburg, specialising in Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and corporate law. He advises clients on complex corporate transactions, cross‑border M&A, and regulatory compliance, with a particular focus on the energy, healthcare, and financial services sectors.

He has extensive experience advising on cross‑border transactions across the African continent, and has been recognised by Legal 500 for his exceptional legal acumen. He was shortlisted as a finalist for Partner of the Year at the Africa Legal Awards, 2024. Beyond his professional accomplishments, he is deeply involved in community initiatives, serving on the boards of various organisations and as an independent trustee of the FirstRand Foundation, where he serves on the audit, risk, and compliance committee and the financial resources management committee.

Mlungisi holds an LL.M (Corporate Law) from the University of Johannesburg (2019) and an LL.B from the University of Pretoria (2009).
