Mandisi Rusa

Mandisi Rusa is a Senior Consultant at Bowmans in Johannesburg, specializing in Dispute Resolution. He focuses on commercial litigation, with experience in contracts, constitutional and administrative law, and the law of delict, as well as mediation and arbitration.

Mandisi acts for a wide range of clients in major disputes. He currently acts for Ericsson Sub‑Saharan Africa in a contractual claim in excess of USD 19 million; for Ericsson South Africa in a contractual claim for R44 million; and for the Postbank SOC Limited in High Court proceedings to review and set aside agreements. He is part of the legal team representing the Nkomati Joint Venture in litigation against the South African Revenue Service claiming refund of tax rebates exceeding R100 million. He has also been assisting the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) for over 10 years during National and Provincial Elections, handling objections and complaints, conducting litigation before the Electoral Court, and advising on electoral legislation and the Constitution.

He holds a B.Juris from the University of Fort Hare, an LL.B from Rhodes University, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Corporate Law from the Centre for Business Law, UNISA.
