Chantay Jaftha

Chantay Jaftha is a Senior Associate in the firm's Dispute Resolution practice, based in the Johannesburg office. She advises large corporations and state-owned entities on complex contractual disputes, including auditor liability claims, insurance-related disputes, and disputes arising from share sale agreements.

Ms. Jaftha has experience in Magistrate Court and High Court commercial litigation, as well as public law litigation, class actions, mediations, and arbitrations. She has advised a global software firm in a ZAR 150 million contractual dispute, a global auditing firm in a near billion rand claim, and a state-owned entity in a billion rand claim. She is experienced in drafting legal opinions, pleadings, settlement agreements, mediation agreements, and dispute resolution clauses.

She holds a BCom (Law) and an LLB, and is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa. She is committed to providing strategic and tailored legal advice, assessing each client's matter on its own merits to ensure the best outcome.
