Annelie Giles

Annelie Giles is an Executive in the firm's Tax Advisory Law practice at ENS, based in South Africa. She is a chartered accountant and specialises in value-added tax consulting, focusing on assisting corporate clients with legislative interpretations and providing practical solutions on complex VAT matters across various industries, including cross-border transactions, group reorganisations, and the non-profit sector.

She is also experienced in VAT dispute resolution, VAT ruling applications, voluntary disclosure applications, and due diligence reviews. Prior to joining ENS, she managed the Gauteng VAT Compliance Practice at a large multinational professional services firm, providing valuable insight into the South African Revenue Service's processes and requirements.

Annelie holds a BCom, a BCom (Honours) in Accounting Science from the University of South Africa, and an MCom in Taxation from the University of the Witwatersrand. She is a Chartered Accountant (SA).
