Angela Matlala

Angela Matlala is a Senior Associate in the firm's Dispute Resolution Department, based in the Johannesburg office. She has experience in High Court commercial litigation, class action litigation, public interest litigation, and private commercial arbitration matters, including auditor liability claims, complex contractual disputes, delictual disputes, and urgent applications.

Ms. Matlala has assisted in acting for a large multinational auditing firm against claims from shareholders and former employees, acted for a multinational FMCG company in arbitration proceedings relating to a breach of contract claim and the recovery of significant damages, advised clients on shareholder and company law disputes, and assisted with due diligence investigations in the logistics, mining, energy, pharmaceutical, and oil and gas industries.

She holds a BA Law degree (with Distinction) and an LLB degree (with Distinction) from the University of the Witwatersrand.
