Lexi Liedtke

Lexi Liedtke is an Associate in the Dispute Resolution and Litigation Practice at Bowmans in Johannesburg, specialising in dispute resolution, commercial litigation, and corporate risk. Her work focuses on anti-bribery and corruption advice, disputes arising from fraud and white-collar misconduct, and strategic advisory in whistleblowing incidents and regulatory investigations.

Lexi has advised four South African companies in complex High Court proceedings arising from the acquisition and operation of a game ranch, pursuing multi‑party claims against former directors and related service providers for breach of fiduciary duty, secret commissions, professional negligence, and regulatory non‑compliance. She has also advised the South African subsidiary of a Finnish manufacturer in High Court proceedings against a metropolitan municipality following multiple substation fires that cut power to the client's plant, resulting in financial losses, and has acted for two mining companies in a complex multi‑defendant claim against commodities traders and logistics providers arising from the theft and unauthorised export of valuable minerals.

Lexi holds a Postgraduate LL.B and a BCom (Economics) from Stellenbosch University, and completed the Transnational Commercial Law Exchange Programme at EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht. She is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
