Vuyokazi Xegwana-Bandezi

Vuyokazi Xegwana-Bandezi is a Senior Associate at Webber Wentzel in Johannesburg, specialising in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), equity capital markets, corporate restructurings, securities transactions, and general corporate and commercial law. She advises on public and private cross‑border and domestic transactions, with a focus on the technology, media, and telecommunications (TMT) sectors, where she serves on the firm’s TMT steering committee.

She has extensive experience advising clients on complex M&A transactions, capital raisings, and corporate reorganisations across various industries. She gained international corporate experience through a six‑month secondment with Linklaters in Amsterdam (October 2023 – April 2024). She recently co‑authored an article titled “Bridging the valuation gap in public M&A – 'Buy now, pay later'”, exploring the use of contingent value rights as an alternative method of structuring consideration in M&A transactions.
