Rosalind Davey

Rosalind Davey is a Partner and Team Leader in the Employment & Benefits Practice at Bowmans in Johannesburg, specialising in employment law, labour dispute resolution, and workplace compliance. She advises clients on employment litigation including urgent applications, interdicts, reviews, dismissal disputes, arbitrations, and general litigation, as well as non-litigious matters such as strategic planning, restructuring, and outsourcing.

Rosalind has extensive experience in the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, retrenchments, performance management, disciplinary hearings, and arbitrations. She has also acted as a judge in the Labour Court of South Africa. She has particular expertise in social media law, drafting social media policies, and providing training on understanding and managing the risks of social media in the workplace. Her practice includes advisory and opinion work, due diligence, transfers of undertakings, discrimination, unfair labour practices, strike handling, collective bargaining, and alternative dispute resolution.

Rosalind holds a BA and an LL.B from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
