Dumisani Ndiweni

Dumisani Ndiweni is a Partner based in Johannesburg. His primary practice area is Employment Law, and he has extensive experience in employment and labour law.

He advises on the full spectrum of workplace law, including high-stakes litigation, complex restructurings, executive employment matters, and sensitive workplace investigations. His experience includes dismissals, retrenchments, restraints of trade, section 197 transfers, union negotiations, employment equity, and harassment and discrimination matters.

He advises clients across sectors including mining, telecommunications, automotive, financial services, renewable energy, manufacturing, hospitality and technology, giving him insights into the workforce challenges and regulatory demands unique to each industry.

He acts in complex and sensitive employment matters in South Africa, including collective misconduct proceedings, enforcement of restraint of trade obligations, and representation of foreign government interests before the Constitutional Court.

He regularly speaks at labour law conferences and events, has published on employment law developments in respected legal publications, and has shared his expertise through television and radio appearances including on eNCA and Radio 702.

His recognition includes being named by Best Lawyers 2026 as a leading individual. He is a member of the South African Society for Labour Law (SASLAW) (2018 to present).

He holds an LLB (2015) and a BA (Law) (2013) from the University of the Witwatersrand and is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
