Peter le Roux

Peter le Roux is an Executive Consultant at ENS in the Employment practice. His primary practice area is Employment Law.

He has expertise in administrative law and labour law. He has represented and advised prominent mining houses and local and international corporate clients in matters pertaining to employment, restructuring and business rescue, pension funds and medical aid schemes, and health and safety.

He is the co-author of 'Essential Labour Law' and 'The Law of Unfair Dismissal' and co-edits 'Contemporary Labour Law'. He was a professor and head of the department of Mercantile Law at the University of South Africa and is an honorary member of SASLAW.

His recognition includes being listed in the Chambers Global Guide as a "Senior Statesman" for Employment (South Africa, 2015–2026), The Legal 500 EMEA for Employment (South Africa, 2015–2023), Who's Who Legal for Labour and Employment (South Africa, 2016 and 2019), and Best Lawyers for Labour and Employment Law and Employee Benefits (South Africa, 2017–2023).

He holds a B juris from the University of Johannesburg, an LLB and an LLM from the University of South Africa, and an LLM from University College, London. He is admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa and has right of appearance in the Labour Court.
