Lenja Dahms-Jansen

Lenja Dahms-Jansen is a Partner at Bowmans' Johannesburg office, specialising in employment law with a focus on the legal aspects of designing, implementing and administering corporate remuneration structures, including base pay structures, benefit schemes, short-term and long-term incentive schemes, and elements of non-financial reward.

She advises clients across multiple sectors, including financial services, manufacturing, FMCG and mining, on a wide range of employment, remuneration and total reward matters. She has represented clients in significant civil, labour and pension law disputes in the Constitutional Court, Supreme Court of Appeal, High Court, Labour Court and various tribunals. She has also managed numerous complex cross-border projects on regulatory compliance, corporate governance and shareholder engagement for employee incentive schemes, including designing and implementing an employee share ownership plan for a listed financial services provider in Southern Africa, securing approvals from two separate stock exchanges.

Lenja holds an LL.B (cum laude) and a B.A. in Politics and Law (cum laude) from the University of the Witwatersrand. She is a Global Remuneration Professional candidate and a member of the South African Society for Labour Law (SASLAW), the South African Reward Association (SARA) and World at Work (US).
