Micaela Ferreira

Micaela Ferreira is an Associate in the Project Finance team at Bowmans in Johannesburg, specialising in infrastructure law, project finance, and energy law. She advises local and international clients on domestic and cross-border transactions, including complex syndicated corporate facilities, finance transactions, and energy-related projects across Africa.

Micaela has advised Enel Green Power on the development of 330MWs of wind energy for Sasol and Air Liquide; Rand Merchant Bank on the 128MW Oya Hybrid Project; Envusa Energy (a joint venture between EDF Renewables and Anglo American) on structuring and negotiation of the financing and corporate structure; Rand Merchant Bank on the financing of the 140MW Umsinde wind power facility and the 140MW Khangela wind power facility; and The Standard Bank of South Africa on the financing of Engie Energy Access's Solar Home System and Mini Grid businesses across Sub-Saharan Africa. She also has experience in corporate investigations and construction, mining, and energy disputes.

Micaela holds a Bachelor of Laws with distinction from the University of Pretoria. She is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
