Megan Jarvis

Megan Jarvis is a Partner based in Johannesburg. Her primary practice area is Mergers and Acquisitions, and she specialises in commercial and corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, black economic empowerment transactions and rationalisations, with a focus on clients in the mining and construction industries.

Her experience extends to cross-border transactions and project management. She has substantial experience in mining, infrastructure, construction and power projects, including wind and solar projects in Southern Africa.

Her recognition includes being named by Best Lawyers 2020–2026 as a leading individual, named by Legal 500 2017–2025 as a legal expert, and named by Who's Who Legal 2017 as a listed lawyer (Mining).

She holds an LLM (Mercantile Law) from the University of South Africa (2005), a Postgraduate Diploma in Maritime Law from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (1994), an LLB (summa cum laude) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (1990) and a BA from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (1988). She is an admitted attorney and conveyancer of the High Court of South Africa.
