Lesedi Letshokgohla

Lesedi Letshokgohla is an Associate in the firm's Banking and Finance practice, based in the Cape Town office. She has experience in leveraged finance, general corporate finance, derivatives, trade finance, syndicated lending, sustainable finance, cross-border finance, preference share funding, structured finance, and project finance, assisting various financial institutions and banks as well as borrowers.

Ms. Letshokgohla advised Valterra Platinum Limited on its demerger from Anglo American Platinum Group and related admission on the JSE and LSE as part of the debt financing team that negotiated and closed a ZAR 30.5 billion and USD 1.72 billion multi-facility refinancing, which was awarded Corporate Syndicated Loan Deal of the Year by the Global Banking and Markets Awards: Africa, 2026. She has also advised Absa Bank on amendments to the AREF Commercial and Industrial Facilities Agreement and assisted with the Foschini Group's ZAR 9 billion syndicated lending refinancing.

She holds a BA (Law and International Relations) and an LLB from the University of the Witwatersrand, and is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa and a Fellow of the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation.
