Doné Botha

Doné Botha is an Associate in the General Finance Practice of the Cape Town office, practicing in Banking and Finance Law. She has experience in debt capital markets, cross-border and domestic bilateral and leveraged/syndicated finance, and preference share finance transactions.

Ms. Botha advises issuers, arrangers, and dealers on both listed and unlisted notes issuances, the establishment of domestic medium-term note programmes, and Rule 144A/Regulation S notes issuances. Her recent transactions include advising PK Investments Ltd on its voluntary offer to shareholders of MAS P.L.C., including the inward listing of a ZAR 20 billion preference share programme on the Cape Town Stock Exchange, advising on Bidvest Group (UK) plc's US$500 million senior notes issuance, and advising on Windfall Mining Group Inc.'s US$750 million guaranteed notes issuance. She also assisted in cross-border financing updates for the M-KOPA group across Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria and Ghana, where Bowmans acted as English law counsel, and supported South32 on a complex South African group restructure.

She holds a BAccLLB (Cum Laude) from Stellenbosch University and is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
