Liam Mostert

Liam Mostert is an Associate in the Finance practice, based in the Cape Town office, practicing in Banking and Finance Law. He has experience in preference share financing, secured and syndicated lending, general corporate finance, real estate financing, and debt capital markets, including establishing domestic medium-term note programmes and note issuances.

Mr. Mostert has assisted H1 Capital in the refinancing of its facilities for the Kenhardt hybrid solar and battery storage project, The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited on a payment guarantee facility issued to an electricity trading company, The New Development Bank on its ZAR10 billion domestic medium-term note programme, and Woolworths Holdings Limited on note issuances under its ZAR10 billion programme. He has also advised Investec Bank, FirstRand Bank, and Sanlam on preference share funding to an energy trading company, and Super Group Limited on a noteholder consent process related to the disposal of a material subsidiary.

Liam holds a BSocSci from the University of Cape Town and an LLB from Stellenbosch University. He is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
