Johandri Pienaar

Johandri Pienaar is a Senior Manager in the Corporate Investigations Practice at Bowmans in Johannesburg, specialising in compliance law and forensic investigations. She joined Bowmans in 2016 and has over eight years of professional forensic investigation experience.

Johandri has conducted investigations into allegations of fraud, corruption, procurement irregularities, and exchange control violations across multiple jurisdictions. She has led preliminary investigations into the irregular awarding of PPE tenders for provincial departments; forensic investigations into possible procurement irregularities and fraudulent conduct in relation to food bank programmes; and investigations into non‑compliance with firm policies and non‑disclosure of financial interests at a major audit firm. She has also been involved in the reconciliation of R25 billion across over 215,000 transactions for a large financial institution and the quantification of penalties for a major rental company arising from non‑performance under contract.

Johandri holds a BCom Hons and a BCom in Forensic Accountancy from North‑West University, a Certificate in Commercial Forensic Information Technology from North‑West University, and a Certificate in Data Analysis from the University of Cape Town. She is a Certified Fraud Examiner with the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and a Forensic Practitioner with the Institute of Commercial Forensic Practitioners.
