Suad Jacobs

Suad Jacobs is an Executive in the Forensics practice at ENS, based in Johannesburg, practicing in Compliance Law. She leads the Johannesburg forensics team and is a well-known white-collar crime prosecutor and forensics lawyer, specialising in leading forensic investigations in procurement, fraud, and corruption in both the private and public sectors.

Prior to joining ENS, Ms. Jacobs held senior roles in South African law enforcement, including as a Senior State Advocate for the Directorate of Special Operations (the Scorpions) and as National Investigations Director for the Special Investigating Unit. Her investigations have led to numerous successful disciplinary and criminal proceedings and the recovery of losses. She advises clients on anti-fraud and anti-corruption compliance, including under the US FCPA, UK Bribery Act, and South African PRECCA, and conducts enhanced anti-bribery due diligence for acquisitions and joint ventures.

She holds a BA and LLB from the University of Cape Town, a Higher Diploma in Tax Law from UCT, an LLM from UCT, and an LLM from the University of London. She is an associate member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and a member of the Institute of Commercial Forensic Practitioners.

She has been recognized by Chambers Global in Corporate Investigations (2019-2026) and by Best Lawyers in Criminal Defense (2020-2023).
