Jade Ewers

Jade Ewers is a Consultant at Webber Wentzel in the Cape Town office, specialising in Real Estate Law. She focuses on immovable property transfers, property finance, the registration of real rights, and advises on property law aspects in the sale of businesses.

Jade has extensive experience in legal risk management, due diligence and contract negotiation, having been involved in drafting, concluding and implementing immovable property-related transactions for commercial and individual clients. She has conducted major due diligences from a commercial and property law perspective across the private, mineral, energy, municipal and corporate sectors, including significant mergers and acquisitions and renewable energy matters. She also has international experience in commercial arbitration, focusing on the legal interpretation of disputed clauses.

Jade holds an LL.M. in International Trade Law from the University of Cape Town (2017), an LL.B. and a B.Com (Law) from the University of Stellenbosch (2006, 2004). She is a South African Conveyancer and Notary Public, and an Accredited Commercial Mediator with Conflict Dynamics (RSA) and CEDR (UK).
