Fatima Osman

Fatima Osman is a Partner in Dentons' Real Estate group, specializing in Real Estate Law. She specialises in conveyancing, notarial transactions, and deceased estates, with extensive experience in the registration of all types of property transfers, including sectional title, commercial, and developments, as well as notarial bonds and lease cancellations.

Fatima serves on the conveyancing panels of major financial institutions including ABSA Bank, Standard Bank, Nedbank, First National Bank, Albaraka Bank, and Eskom, as well as SANRAL's conveyancing panel. She has handled large portfolio transfers, including for Barloworld and its subsidiaries to the KhulaSizwe Property Fund. Prior to practising law, she gained extensive experience in the retail, wholesale, and manufacturing sectors.

She holds a B. Soc Sc from the University of Cape Town (1983), a B.Comm from the University of South Africa (UNISA) (2000), and an LL.B from UNISA (2002). She was admitted as an Attorney, Conveyancer, and Notary of the High Court of South Africa in 2002.

Fatima serves as Treasurer of the Western Cape Branch of the Black Conveyancers Association, having previously served as Secretary (2009–2016), and has served as Chairperson of the Metro Centre Body Corporate since 2010.
