Igno Gouws

Igno Gouws is a Partner at Webber Wentzel in the Johannesburg office, specialising in Dispute Resolution. He has more than 20 years of experience in commercial dispute resolution across numerous areas, including company law, mining law, contractual law, delicts, property law, expropriations and land acquisitions, landlord and tenant law, evictions and relocations, logistics and criminal law.

Igno has advised before a wide range of fora, including the International Court of Arbitration (Paris), the Constitutional Court, the Supreme Court of Appeal, High Courts, tribunals and appeal boards, and has also advised on both local and international arbitrations. His experience spans complex and high-stakes disputes across multiple sectors.

Igno holds an LL.M. in Corporate Law from Rand Afrikaans University (2003), and an LL.B. (cum laude) and BLC (cum laude) from the University of Pretoria (1997, 1998). He is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
