Govan Manuel

Govan Manuel is an Executive in the Corporate Commercial practice at ENS, practicing in the firm's Mergers and Acquisitions group. He specialises in public and private M&A, company and trust law, general corporate transactions, re-organisations, contract law, corporate governance, and broad-based black economic empowerment.

He also has significant expertise in private equity, including fund formation, legal due diligence for acquisitions of portfolio companies, portfolio and investment structuring, regulatory approvals, management incentives, recapitalisations, co-investment arrangements, and exit strategies including IPOs. He has experience advising clients in the Agribusiness sector.

Govan holds a BSocSci (Politics and Sociology) from the University of Cape Town and an LLB from the University of the Western Cape. He is admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
