Gareth Driver

Gareth Driver is the Senior Partner of Webber Wentzel, specialising in Mergers and Acquisitions. He has more than 30 years of experience in corporate law, public and private M&A, securities law, corporate finance and structuring, corporate governance, black economic empowerment transactions, financial services regulation, international transactions, joint ventures, listings, private equity and real estate.

Gareth is consistently recognised as a top-tier Corporate/M&A lawyer in South Africa. He is ranked as a Band 1 lawyer by Chambers Global for Corporate/M&A, included in the Legal 500 Hall of Fame, and recognised by Best Lawyers as a leading individual, having been named Best Lawyer in M&A in 2016 and 2024.
