Giorgia Silvaggi

Giorgia Silvaggi is an Associate in the Corporate practice at DLA Piper in Johannesburg, specialising in mergers and acquisitions (M&A). She advises clients on a variety of M&A transactions, regulatory mining and ESG‑specific work, as well as general corporate work including trust administration, trust filings, and B‑BBEE compliance.

She has been part of the team assisting IHS Holding on its acquisition of over 5,000 telecommunication towers in South Africa from MTN Group, Arkema on its acquisition of Permoseal in South Africa, and Greenstreet 1 (Pty) Ltd on its acquisition of a majority stake in Solar Capital De Aar 3 (RF) Pty Ltd, a solar photovoltaic project under the Renewable Energy Independent Power Procurement programme.

Giorgia holds an LL.B (cum laude) from the University of the Witwatersrand (2020) and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of the Witwatersrand (2018). She is an Advocate of the High Court of South Africa and a member of the Golden Key Honour Society.
