Amy Eliason

Amy Eliason is a Director at DLA Piper in Johannesburg, specialising in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private equity, and equity capital markets. She has over 13 years of experience advising private equity funds, financial institutions, and corporates on complex transactions across South Africa and the broader African market, including IPOs, cross‑border transactions, and large‑scale restructurings.

She has advised Cell C Limited and Cell C Holdings Limited on a pre‑listing restructuring aimed at optimising Cell C's capital structure in preparation for its listing on the JSE, and advised Premier Group and Brait Mauritius on the listing of all Premier's ordinary shares on the JSE, including a ZAR 3.5 billion bookbuild. She has extensive experience leading transactions involving multiple jurisdictions, stakeholders, and regulatory frameworks, and regularly acts on high‑value and strategically significant deals across a broad range of sectors.

Amy holds an LL.B (cum laude) from the University of the Witwatersrand (2012), a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours in Finance (cum laude) from the University of the Witwatersrand (2010), and a Bachelor of Commerce (cum laude) from the University of the Witwatersrand (2009). She was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2015.
