Bongani Mtotoba

Bongani Mtotoba is a Senior Associate in the firm's Employment and Benefits practice, based in the Johannesburg office, practicing in Employment Law. He advises corporate and public sector clients on various aspects of employment and employee benefits law, including employment litigation, general advisory, and investigations.

His expertise includes collective bargaining, retrenchments, review of arbitration awards and judgments, urgent applications, managing fair dismissals, and assisting with disciplinary and grievance hearings. He represents clients before the CCMA, various Bargaining Councils, the Labour Court, and the Labour Appeal Court. He also drafts, updates, and revises employment policies and contracts, and conducts training on employment law topics such as dismissals and workplace harassment.

Bongani holds an LLB from the University of the Free State and is a member of the South African Society for Labour Law. He is fluent in English, SeSotho, and Setswana.
