Armando Aguiar

Armando Aguiar is an Executive in the firm's Dispute Resolution practice at ENS, specializing in Construction Law. He focuses on construction and engineering law, including the drafting of contracts (such as FIDIC, NEC, JBCC and GCC), claims, and dispute resolution, advising major construction companies, national governments, parastatal entities, and listed multinational companies both locally and internationally.

Mr. Aguiar is a director and fellow of the Association of Arbitrators (Southern Africa), a fellow of the Arbitration Foundation of Southern Africa, and a CEDR-accredited mediator. He has been appointed as an adjudicator and arbitrator in a number of construction disputes.

He holds a BA and LLB from the University of Cape Town and is admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa.

Armando has been consistently recognized by Chambers Global and The Legal 500 EMEA in Construction, and by Best Lawyers in Construction Law, where he was named Construction Law Lawyer of the Year in South Africa (2022).
