Aqilah Regal

Aqilah Regal is an Associate in the Tax practice of the Cape Town office, practicing in Tax Advisory Law. She regularly advises on a wide range of tax issues for both South African and foreign corporates across various industries, including income tax and customs and excise disputes, indirect taxes, mergers and acquisitions, international tax matters, corporate tax issues, exchange control, tax compliance, and employees' tax.

Ms. Regal has recently advised clients on the exchange control implications of outbound and inbound investments, managing income tax and indirect tax audits and disputes with the South African Revenue Service (SARS), trust structuring and compliance, efficient restructuring of local and cross-border transactions, and public benefit organisation status and approval under section 18A of the Income Tax Act.

She holds an LLB from the University of Cape Town and is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
