Andrew Parsons

Andrew Parsons is a Partner and Head of the Corporate and Commercial Law Department at Shepstone & Wylie's Durban office. He is a specialist commercial attorney concentrating on mergers and acquisitions, shareholder structures and relationships, corporate governance, general corporate law advice, and banking and finance transactions.

He regularly advises clients on corporate and Companies Act issues, as well as advising a variety of banks on finance‑related structures and equity acquisitions, including Islamic finance. He has acted as principal attorney in many substantial acquisitions and disposal transactions for both local and international clients. He has served on the KwaZulu‑Natal Law Society Council, is a trustee of Kearsney College (a past Chairman of the Board of Governors), Chairman of the DPHS Governing Body, and a trustee of the DPHS Education Trust.

Andrew holds a BA and LLB from the University of KwaZulu‑Natal (UKZN).
