Andrew Davidson

Andrew Davidson is a Partner in the Corporate and Commercial and Mergers and Acquisitions practice at Bowmans in Durban, focusing on M&A, private equity, venture capital, banking and finance transactions.

He has advised on a wide range of notable transactions, including City Logistics Group and Clearwater Capital on their acquisition of the South African Fastway Master Franchise; International Facilities Services (IFS) Group on the investment by Development Partners International; ISON Xperiences on Verod Capital's and AfricInvest's acquisition of a majority stake; Kingson Capital Partners on various venture capital investments; Rainbow Farms Investments on the disposal of its operations in Uganda; and RCL Foods on the formation of the LIVEKINDLY Collective Africa joint venture. He also advised Aspen Pharmacare Holdings on the South African aspects of a Euro 1.26 billion syndicated loan facility and has extensive experience in corporate governance, trust law and pension and provident funds, having served as both a principal officer and company secretary.

Andrew holds a BCom (economics) and an LL.B from the University of Cape Town, and a Higher Diploma in Tax from the University of the Witwatersrand.
