Adele De Jager

Adele De Jager is an Executive in the Corporate Department and a member of the Tax practice in the Johannesburg office, practicing in Tax Advisory Law. She is a Chartered Accountant (SA) with over 20 years of tax experience, specializing in general corporate tax, M&A-related tax, and mining sector taxation.

She has advised a wide range of clients including African Rainbow Minerals, South32, Harmony Gold, Royal Bafokeng Resources, Northam Platinum, United Manganese of Kalahari, Anglo American Operations, and Goldfields on matters such as royalty tax, diesel rebates, and alternative financing transactions in the mining sector. She has also advised Carlyle on the acquisitions of Tiger Wheel and Tyre, Amrod, and Wizard, Tsebo Solutions Group on its acquisition by Wendel, Atlas Copco on group restructuring, and African Rainbow Capital on various restructuring transactions. She advises on the tax implications of Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment transactions, including vendor financing structures.

Adéle holds a BCom Accounting Honours and an MCom Taxation degree from the University of Pretoria. She is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and a registered tax practitioner.
