Yasmeen Suliman

Yasmeen Suliman is a Partner in the Tax practice at Bowmans' Durban office, specialising in tax law with over 20 years of experience in tax advisory, dispute resolution and compliance.

She assists companies with SARS audits, dispute resolution, advanced tax rulings, tax structuring, due diligence, and risk analyses of tax structures and systems. She has extensive experience leading multidisciplinary tax teams, having previously headed the KwaZulu-Natal tax practice of a leading auditing firm, and also served as an integrated field auditor at the South African Revenue Service.

Yasmeen holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree, a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting, and Masters degrees in financial accounting and taxation from the University of Natal, as well as an Advanced Certificate in Value-Added Tax from the University of South Africa. She is a Qualified Chartered Accountant.

She has served as a member of the Tax Committee of the SA Institute of Chartered Accountants' eastern region, was co-opted as a member of the Steering Committee on Islamic Financial Services at National Treasury, and serves on the Corporate Tax Operations Committee at the South African Institute of Tax Professionals.
