Tony Misago

Tony Misago is an Associate in the Employment and Benefits Practice at Bowmans in Johannesburg, specialising in employment law and employee benefits. He advises corporate and public sector clients on various aspects of employment law, including collective bargaining, retrenchments, section 197 transfers, fair dismissals, and disciplinary and grievance procedures.

Tony has conducted various workplace investigations, assisted clients across multiple sectors with disciplinary hearings and arbitrations before the CCMA and various Bargaining Councils, and handled review applications in the Labour Court. He has also advised a state-owned company on the implementation of consequence management for executives pursuant to allegations of corruption in internal forensic reports. His practice includes preparing and advising on employment contracts, service level agreements, workplace policies, urgent applications, and reviews of arbitration awards and judgments.

Tony holds an LL.B from the University of Pretoria.
