Bhekithemba Mbatha

Bhekithemba Mbatha is an Associate based in Johannesburg. His primary practice area is Employment Law, and he has extensive experience in employment and labour law, with a particular focus on labour litigation.

He advises clients across the public, financial services, aviation, mining and security sectors, as well as parastatals and multinational consulting firms.

He regularly drafts legal opinions on a range of employment matters, including disciplinary action and processes, the enforceability of restraints of trade undertakings, employment equity targets for designated employers, and collective labour law. His experience also includes conducting employment-related due diligence investigations, drafting employment contracts and policies, representing clients before the CCMA and Labour Court, and chairing disciplinary hearings.

He holds an LLB from the University of the Witwatersrand (2019) and a BA from the University of the Witwatersrand (2015). He is an admitted attorney of the High Court and a member of the South African Society for Labour Law.
