Steven Wiener

Steven Wiener is an Executive in the Corporate Commercial practice at ENS, practicing in the firm's Mergers and Acquisitions group. He specialises in M&A, equity capital markets, general corporate commercial law, and due diligence investigations, acting for local and international, listed and unlisted clients across a number of industries.

Mr. Wiener has deep expertise in all aspects of private equity, including legal due diligence in anticipation of acquisitions by PE funds of portfolio companies, portfolio and investment structuring, regulatory approvals, management incentives, disposal of portfolio companies, IPOs, and other exit strategies. His drafting expertise extends to shareholders' agreements, sale of business agreements, memoranda of incorporation, subscription agreements, and board and shareholders' resolutions. He also advises on compliance with the Companies Act, 2008, and has been involved in numerous due diligence investigations, preparing reports on findings.

He holds a BBusSci (Honours) and an LLB from the University of Cape Town, and is admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
