Stephan Louw

Stephan Louw is a Senior Associate in the Finance and Mergers and Acquisitions practice at Bowmans in Cape Town, specialising in private M&A and private equity transactions.

He has advised on inward foreign acquisitions, capital raises, exits and employee incentive schemes across sectors including renewable energy, food and agriculture, retail and fintech. Notable transactions include advising Capitec Bank Limited on the acquisition of approximately 57% of the issued share capital in Avafin Holding Limited, an international consumer lending group; advising P95 BV, a Belgian portfolio company of Ampersand Capital Partners, on the acquisition of 100% of OnQ Research Proprietary Limited; advising Inspired Evolution on its investment in Equator Energy Limited, a leading commercial and industrial solar provider in East Africa; and advising Solevo Holdings on its acquisition of Rolfes Holdings.

Stephan holds a BCom (Law), an LL.B and a BAHons from the University of Stellenbosch.
