Hendrik du Preez is a Consultant specialising in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate and commercial law, reorganisations, restructurings, and in‑bound investments to Southern Africa. He advises large multi‑national corporate clients across the consumer, agribusiness, food and beverage, real estate, hospitality, and leisure sectors.

He has practised in the United Kingdom and has extensive cross‑border transaction experience across various Sub‑Saharan African jurisdictions. His practice spans both transactional and advisory work, delivering strategic legal solutions to clients across multiple sectors. He has been recognised by Best Lawyers (2022‑2026) as a leading individual and by Legal 500 as a legal expert in Commercial, Corporate and M&A.

Hendrik holds an Advanced Certificate in Company and Contract Law from the University of Cape Town (1998), a Higher Diploma in Tax Law from the University of Cape Town (1996), an LLB (1993), and a B.Com (1991) from Stellenbosch University. He is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
