John van Niekerk

John van Niekerk is an Associate in the Corporate Commercial practice, specialising in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), general corporate and commercial law, corporate restructures, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance. He advises clients on corporate matters, drafting and negotiating commercial documents, assisting with JSE circulars, and conducting legal due diligence investigations.

He has experience advising local and international clients on corporate and commercial matters in both listed and unlisted spaces, and has advised clients in the mining, energy, and private equity sectors.

He holds a BA and LLB from Stellenbosch University and is admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
