Philip Geromont

Philip Geromont is an Executive in the firm's Corporate Commercial practice at ENS, specializing in Mergers and Acquisitions. He focuses on cross-border M&A and corporate and commercial matters, acting for a wide range of European and North American clients across the automotive, aerospace, banking, construction, defence, media, nuclear, retail, transport, and wine and spirits sectors, as well as advising on French-speaking Africa in banking, energy, mining, and telecoms.

He is admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa and as an Avocat au Barreau de Paris, and is fluent in English, French, and German. He is Vice-Chairman and immediate past Chairman of the French South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was appointed Chevalier de l'Ordre National du Mérite by the President of France in 2021, and serves as Honorary Consul of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Cape Town (2022).

Philip holds a Master of Laws (with distinction) from Université Paris II – Assas and a degree in Private International Law and International Commercial Law from Université Paris I – Sorbonne. He co-authored L'Entreprise Face à la Mondialisation: Opportunités et Risques – Stratégies Juridiques (2006), a finalist for the Prix du Cercle Montesquieu in 2007.
