Craig Robinson

Craig Robinson is a Partner in the Cape Town office, practicing in the firm's Mergers and Acquisitions and Corporate Commercial practice. He has advised on numerous domestic and cross-border transactions across South Africa and other African jurisdictions, including Botswana, Kenya, Mauritius, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Ghana, Mozambique, Lesotho, eSwatini, and Zambia.

Mr. Robinson's notable representations include advising Pepkor Holdings on the acquisition of the Shoprite Group's retail furniture business, Mr Price Group on its acquisition of Studio 88, Yuppiechef, and Power Fashion, Capitec Bank on its acquisition of AvaFin Holding, and Standard Bank on its ZAR 10.6 billion buyout of minority shareholders in Liberty Holdings. He has also advised Old Mutual on the sale of its stake in Futuregrowth Asset Management, African Rainbow Capital on its investment in Kropz Plc and its UK listing, MLM Medical Labs on its acquisition of CyteSpace Africa, and Puma Energy on acquisitions in South Africa, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe.

Craig holds BCom and LLB degrees from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and a Certificate in Advanced Company Law from the University of the Witwatersrand. He is an admitted attorney of the High Court in South Africa and previously served as a law clerk at the Constitutional Court of South Africa.
