Sphiwe Dlamini

Sphiwe Dlamini is a Senior Associate at ENS in the Competition practice. His primary practice area is Competition Law.

He has been involved in matters across a variety of industries including aviation, logistics, gambling, construction, mining, financial services, food producers, oil & gas, pharmaceuticals and telecommunications.

He has experience advising on notifiability of mergers and preparing merger notifications for large multijurisdictional mergers in various African jurisdictions, assisting clients in dawn raids, and contested and uncontested litigation in respect of prohibited practices, including cartel conduct, restrictive vertical practices and abuse of dominance.

He has also advised clients on general competition advice and compliance, including opinions, strategic advice and general advice, due diligence investigations, and assisting clients with queries from competition authorities in various African jurisdictions.

He is a member of the Association of Competition Law Practitioners and has authored competition law-related articles for Business Law and Tax Review and the European Competition Law Review. He holds a BCom (cum laude) and an LLB from the University of the Witwatersrand and is admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
