Sibusiso Dube

Sibusiso Dube is a Partner in the Dispute Resolution Department at Bowmans in Johannesburg, specialising in employment law and dispute resolution. He provides advisory and litigation services to public and private entities on a range of employment law issues, including unfair dismissals, unfair employment practices including unfair discrimination, collective labour law, employment equity, transfers of businesses, s189 retrenchment processes, restraints of trade, incapacity and incompatibility, lifestyle audits, and management of senior employees.

Sibusiso represents clients before the CCMA, Bargaining Councils, and the Labour Court, and conducts investigations into misconduct, racism, sexual harassment, bullying and intimidation, unfair discrimination, and irregular expenditure. He has advised Standard Bank of South Africa and Old Mutual Limited on harassment investigations against senior executives, Bidvest Bank on unfair labour practice disputes, Visa on unfair dismissal and discrimination disputes, Putco on interdicting an unprotected strike, Eskom on retrenchment disputes, and Pick n’ Pay Stores on equal pay disputes. He has also acquired experience in sports law, representing professional football clubs before the PSL Disciplinary Committee and Dispute Resolution Chamber.

Sibusiso holds a Bachelor of Laws and a BCom Law from the University of Johannesburg.
