Sheena Dias

Sheena Dias is a Partner specialising in dispute resolution and commercial litigation, with a particular focus on maritime law and insurance-related disputes. She handles arrests and attachments of vessels and property, crew claims, and port-related work, and has been involved in major maritime litigation including casualty investigations.

She advises clients on complex shipping, insurance, and commercial disputes, providing strategic legal counsel across multiple sectors. She has extensive experience in commercial litigation, insurance coverage disputes, and maritime enforcement proceedings. She is an EXCO Member and Treasurer of WISTA SA (Women in Shipping and Trade Association South Africa) and a member of the Maritime Law Association of South Africa. She has been named by Legal 500 (2023‑2025) as a legal expert.

Sheena holds an LLB (2013) and a B.Soc.Sci (2010) from the University of Cape Town. She is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
