Lucien Lewin

Lucien Lewin is a Partner in the Litigation practice at Bowmans' Cape Town office, focusing on commercial contractual disputes, including franchise and shareholder agreement disputes, as well as director and shareholder disputes.

He has acted on matters involving intellectual property disputes, administrative law, constitutional law, sectional title law, company law and construction law. Notable matters include obtaining interim relief for homeless individuals enforcing their constitutional rights against a major South African metropolitan municipality on a pro bono basis, successfully representing a well-known health and fitness chain in various litigious matters, advising and representing the board of a non-profit company responsible for the management of one of South Africa's national sports, and managing litigation in London on behalf of an Isle of Man-based company. He also advises companies in the fruit import and export sector, logistics companies based in ports in South Africa and Mozambique, and clients in the high-end tourism industry.
